How to Reach Castiglione della Pescaia for Our Wedding

We are so excited to welcome you to Castiglione della Pescaia, one of the most charming towns on the Tuscan coast! Here’s a detailed guide on how to reach the location from different transport options:

For our international guests, the most convenient way to get to Castiglione della Pescaia is by flying into one of the following airports:

1. Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) – The best option for most international travelers. Fiumicino is approximately 1.5 hours away by car (160 km) from Castiglione della Pescaia.
2. Pisa International Airport (PSA) – Located about 1.5 hours by car from Castiglione della Pescaia. Pisa offers both international and domestic flights.
3. Florence Airport (FLR) – About a 2.5 hour drive, this airport is another great option, especially for flights from European destinations.

We highly recommend flying into Rome Fiumicino due to the number of international connections available.

Once you arrive in Italy we strongly suggest you to rent a car to have more flexibility and don’t stuck with delays or difficult trip schedule that includes trains and bus.
Rome FCO airport is just 1.5 hour from Castiglione della Pescaia by car, Pisa airport is 1.5 hour and Florence around 2 hours.

The drive is scenic and will give you the chance to enjoy the stunning Italian countryside. Once you arrive in Castiglione della Pescaia, parking is available at a designated lot near the town center.

If you don’t want to rent a car, once you arrive at one of the suggested airports, you can take a train to Grosseto, the nearest major train station to Castiglione della Pescaia and then take a bus from Grosseto to Castiglione della Pescaia. From Rome and Pisa the train will take around 2 hours, if you are arriving in Florence you would need to take a bus to reach Grosseto.

Once you arrive at Grosseto train station, you can take a taxi or shuttle to Castiglione della Pescaia, which is about a 25-minute drive.

Arrival at the Wedding Venue

The wedding will take place at the Castello di Castiglione della Pescaia (Castiglione della Pescaia Castle), located in the heart of the town. However, please note that it is not possible to drive directly to the castle.

Parking Information: The closest parking lot is a short walk from the castle. You can park your car at the following location: Parking Location. From here, it’s just a few minutes on foot to the venue.

Important Information: We kindly recommend wearing comfortable heels, as reaching the castle involves a short yet steep incline. Additionally, the venue features a grass surface. To fully enjoy the celebration and dance the night away, we suggest choosing footwear that ensures comfort.
